I hear people say that the horrible traffic is due to all the jeepneys, but now they are on strike I see the pic still shows traffic backed up.  Maybe a smart move for them to go on strike and show that they provide value to the economy.

What are the  demands of the jeepney drivers?

The issue they're protesting is LTO significantly raising the traffic fines. Doubled and tripled in many cases. It would seem obvious all they have to do is obey the law and not get tickets but paying traffic tickets is a part of their doing business. Hard to pass the increase along when the fare is p8 and the fine is 2000.
