Thomas Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 In the topic about if it's possible to live on 1000 USD/month in Phils, we have got answers both "Yes" and much higher minimum. To get a better chance to know what each person mean, it can be interesting to know /what they count as their minimum living cost in their HOME countries /what's the situation in Phils (amount of persons. Costs to Family-in-law?) ) /any changes between home country and Phils, which make difference for costs (as e g changed amount of persons, kids have quit college...) I DON'T mean the obvious changes as e g VISA costs. REGULAR costs, NOT the extra STARTUP costs.
Thomas Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I haven't moved yet, so I don't know what my regular costs will be in Phils, but I spend only around 1000 USD/month in average living IN SWEDEN. (Now: 6 room villa on own land, billiard, small boat... No car for the moment, because I seldom need any because of my injury, but instead I have costs to pay for maintainance of my house, which I could make myself earlier. Before I move to the house: Condo in a popular part of a city, billiard, summer house, small boat, 2 cars one minivan and one common. That cost me around the same as now, some assisted by my company rented the minivan for transports sometimes.) So I suppouse I will manage to live of similar in Phils. stevewool Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 This is going to be a good thread, I live here in England very frugal but eat very well and do all i want to do too, We own our own house so there are no bills for accommodation and our outgoings per month is between £430 to £500 , So i am sure if we move to the phils our out goings will be a lot less, if the family arnt around that is
