Popular Post Ashanti Posted August 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted August 28, 2014 enerally speaking, older guys want younger women and women want security. Security has nothing to do with escaping poverty or money my friend. It is a person who makes them feel secure for whatever reason a very valued thing to women everywhere. I actually meant it in every sense of the word. But saying financial security isn't an important consideration for women the wold over is contrary to human nature. Anyway, I get your point! yeah, right ...................... no wonder there are a lot of single parents in PI

El Negrito Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Yea I've seen it mainly in Manila and AC, and I'm definitely talking more about the girls with absentee husbands like you describe. Ever notice a white guy with a small part on TV or filipino movie, or modeling? Those guys don't get paid a ton but they are drowning in tail. And the lonely suger mamas line up. Not just them either, even the younger professional types in manila clean up. Perhaps the Pinays you are talking about are like that but I would venture to say they are a small percent that act in such ways. It may seem like a lot to you because you are use to the western world where frankly even the good looking guys have to struggle at times to get a nice pretty girlfriend. No one is really ever drowning in tail in the US except celebrities and even then many celebs aren't. So in your limited experience please don't sum up Filipinas or the relationships they have with older foreigners. Also in my lifes experience when I was in my early 20's I couldn't get women to look twice in my direction. The older I got though it was like being a magnet. (And trust me I didn't get any better looking or richer) I remember at 28 a 23 year old girl told me she liked older men and I was the bare minimum she would accept and that was only because I was nice and she liked me. She prefered men in their 40 or more. At 31-32 I had a 21 year old hottie girlfriend. Didn't even have to work for it, just happened easy as pie. I thought we would just be friends but wham bam and we were dating. Last year a 23 year old girl and I had a relationship and I was 43. Dude if you think you are hot to trot now, just wait till you approach 30 or even 40. Not sure if 50 is the same and I am a ways away from there but maybe some of the guys who are there or have been there can speak on if 50 brings yet another level of attraction from young girls. According to posts here I am guessing so. Like the old saying goes "I keep getting older but the girls that I like (or rather like me) stay the same age". All that said, trust me I have actually been looking for someone closer to my age, my late wife was but unfortunately I lost her. It is actually harder to find an older woman than a younger one. Seems like in the Philippines this is also another issue that has been a bit easier solved than in the west, but still easier to find a younger one I think. Americano Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The age difference here is a non event, you see it every day and no-one bats on eye lid, just accepted. My g/f is 26y.o. I am 63, I was very hesitant at first and sat her down and asked her about the difference in age, no problem for her or her family. I also got some very good advice from Americano's wife on what to look for and after taking that advice everything has worked out fine. We have the same ups and downs as most couples but at the end of the day we are both very happy, I can tell by her lovely smile, good luck with what ever you do. Thanks for the kind words Chris. I just told my wife what you said. Sorry for the late reply but I just read this topic tonight. What was the advice from your wife Americano? What should be looked for? Oh and to clarify a comment I made earlier a good girl is someone who isn't a gold digger. I forget who summed it up with honesty but yeah that is pretty much it. Hi El Negrito, I finally got around to reading this topic. "What was the advice from your wife Americano?" I'm sure Chris would remember the answer better than me but I believe my wife said, "Buy a very cheap gift for a girl and watch her reaction and do this more than once. She should appreciate a gift even if it didn't cost much." In the USA we even have a saying for this, "Its the thought that counts, not how much it costs." Someone who is a gold digger or only likes you for money will not appreciate a cheap gift. I was the one who said a good girl is honest. Long ago I heard someone say, "If everyone was honest then we wouldn't need keys." and that is so true.

If people really loved one another and I just mean neighbor to neighbor or any relationship really then they would be truly honest and we wouldn't have crime, war or many other things.
Methersgate Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Lost writes about the white guys doing modelling or bit parts and drowning in tail. True - my girl is a talent manager in just that business - supplying extras and bit part actors to Filipino movies. One of hers - Aussie in his fifties - got murdered just the other day, but she says it was not a jealous husband who put the contract on him but a jealous girlfriend! She cannot go to a shoot without being propositioned half a dozen times.* But for every white guy chasing tail there are a hundred Filipinos, and it won't be the one you expect.Filipinas like to "mother" their boyfriends, as we all know, and very often they will go for a boy younger than they are. This means if she is 26, look out for the 21 year old! * This was the subject of rather a nice comment from Freddie Webb (no mean "player" himself!)One of the cameramen was asking Corina "Which one of her posse of extras was her boyfriend?" She said, "Yes, I have a foreign boyfriend, but he is not one of these!"Freddie overheard this and said, "Where did Corina find her foreigner? That is the question! She had the sense to get one from outside the business!" Edited August 29, 2014 by Methersgate
jpbago Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 The age difference here is a non event, you see it every day and no-one bats on eye lid, Very true in most cases but when my daughter was in the hospital from dengue, my wife stayed with her but I would come home daily and return with our 16 year old daughter and our 82 year old grandmother. Now would I ever get some looks from the locals. I could read their minds in wondering which one was I with. Their eyes were batting and when I turned around, they were doing a double take!

To me this is really stupid because its none of their business who you are with. They should mind their own business.
El Negrito Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 To me this is really stupid because its none of their business who you are with. They should mind their own business. Triple like big A. These type of "metiches" or nosey people that like to tell chismes (sorry for the Spanish all) really piss me off. I had a 27 year old black woman and a 57 year old black woman tell my 23 year old Mexican girl friend that dating me would be a bad idea because of age. WHAT THE HECK?! The only reason I mention race is that black women are insanely jealous of anyone else other than them dating a black man even if they don't want him. Funny huh? For this reason I have always had girls of other races and not for lack of trying. I have had some black women I just would have LOVED to date, but no, I wasn't good enough for one reason or another. Anyway that is off topic. I HATE people that are nosey! I know its common in PI, same in Mexico, less but same in the west. It's to the point that I am ready to confront the next person who gets in my business. And I don't mean people that are just concerned about me and want to help I mean negative people.

Sorry guys, but they did mind their own business. They were not nosey. They did not say anything. They just looked. We all do the same. My wife and I get a lot of looks and double takes in Canada too because of the age, size, and colour difference but here too, nobody says anything, They mind their own business. My friends are the ones that make comments and it is all positive.
