It was me just explaining my understanding of your ideas wrong. Saying the same thing in different ways, hehe. Thanks for clearing that up man! And yes we have the same preferences, although I have seen many non-Mestiza Philippinas that made me echo the words of the famous comedian Fluffy..."DAMN!!!"  :omg:  :kidding:  :th_hu:  :10001:

 

I never said I was snubbing the non-Mestizas.  My wife is a morena so it is in my best interest not to :hystery: But I am an equal opportunity oogler :cheersty:  and that's about as far is it goes because Mestizas (for the most part) are too high maintenance.

My wife is from Mindanao with a maiden name of Manilyn Gomez Gemarino, which means her relatives on both sides have Spanish names.  Filipino plus Spanish can produce some beautiful women.  As we would say in America her physical attributes were blessed. And, she was blessed with brains too.

They are because they are in high demand.  They have the local dudes falling all over themselves to get with them and thus can command a premium for their affections and attention.  Filipinos laugh at foreigners (particularly Americans) because they tend to prefer the more "exotic" looking women whom the Filipino men think are, for the most part, less desirable.  I have explained many times that opposites attract.  If an American wanted a white woman he would just stay in America and have a real one - not go to the Philippines to get a quasi-white one :dance: (that is mostly to piss them off when they are getting snarky about foreigners and "ugly"(to them) women)).

I am guessing there are always exceptions to this high maintenance rule, but personally I want to stay as far away as possible from high maintenance women. However lets say that an foreigner met an exception to the rule or didn't mind high maintenance would he have a fighting chance or even advantage over a Filipino in getting such a woman? And by high maintenance do you just mean physical up keep? (Shoes, dresses, makeup etc) Or do you mean they think to highly of them selves and tend to have an attitude?

 

In addition are there more Mestizas in the Cebu area or more south in Davao and Zamboanga?

I have two friends (both well known to She Who Must Be Obeyed!) who are thirtysomething Chimays and, perhaps because I have lived in China and in Hong Kong, I find them both delightful people.

 

I know two thirtysomething Spanish Mestizas and I would run a mile from a relationship with either - my other half is of the same opinion.

Both of them are extremely high maintenance and both broke a foreigner's heart - in one case by running off with a younger American serviceman and setting out to "clean out|" the abandoned husband who was left with the children.

 

I don't suppose this is typical - at least I hope notQ

 

Don't recall that I know any Fil-Am ladies so cannot comment.

Of course you would have a chance.  Filipino dudes are secretly thankful that most foreigners don't care for Mestizas :thumbsup: But be careful what you wish for.  High maintenance means just that.  Besides the high end shops and high end restaurants there is no end to the high drama.  I don't imagine that you are looking for that at this stage of life.

There are more mestizas numbers-wise in Manila than either of those places because it has a much larger population.  If you are really determined to find a mestiza you could try in Angeles City or Olongapo which has had an American presence there for over 100 years so percentage-wise there would be more there than any other given population.

Well even though I find them very beautiful I am not "determined"  to find one. Actually my questions were meant to draw out the pitfalls that you mentioned and you have done that in a very insightful way. You are exactly right that I want ABSOLUTELY NO DRAMA at this point in my life. Nor do I want anyone that high maintenance. I love to spoil a woman but not for her to expect or demand it. I am sure there are some great Mestizas with none of those bad qualities but I really don't want to take chances nor look for needles in haystacks.

 

While I hold a slight, and I mean very slight, to the Mestiza mix it is the difference of a 10 and a 9.9. Even then it depends on the girl. Many other mixes have girls that are 10's when compared the a girl who while being Mestisa is only a 7 or 8. Personality is of PRIME importance for me!

 

A nice province girl (or maybe even city) of any one of the other beautiful Filipina mixtures will do just fine!  :th_noproblem:
