Methersgate Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 IIRC foreigners are forbidden to take part in demonstrations anyway - I recall a Korean being deported for supporting the anti-PDAF march.
happypig2000 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 seems to me that the marine should have had more self control, so what, he finds that he ended up in a hotel room with a transgender person, big deal, no harm done just laugh it off, certainly no t just cause to kill a person, i have seen many transgender types around, even talked to them......you have to live and let live in my humble opinion
Methersgate Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 We don't actually know what happened. We have only read one side of the story.
Americano Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I believe in most countries if you climb over a security fence for a Military compound or prison you will immediately be arrested so I don't see any reason to have a debate in this situation. If the sister and fiancee illegally gained access to the Military prison then they should have been arrested and the foreigner deported if Immigration agrees.
Popular Post MikeB Posted October 24, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 24, 2014 They should have both been arrested on the spot for trespass on a military installation. The German, additionally, for assault on the soldier. That would have made the deportation a no-brainer. But they weren't. They were allowed to harangue and berate the soldiers, egged on by a bunch of media. Suppose the next clown who climbs the fence has a gun and the US Marine guards shoot them? Now you have an international incident. The agreement states that the US retains custody (if they so request) " from the commission of the offense until completion of all judicial proceedings". The Philippines agreed to it in 1999 and Senator Santiago, who is making most of the noise about it being "grossly unfair", voted for it, calling it a “necessary imposition” because of the threat of China. It was challenged and their Supreme Court declared it constitutional in 2009. Let them "review" all they want; they agreed to it, they're stuck with it.
Popular Post MikeB Posted October 25, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 25, 2014 I'm not going to copy the article, anyone can look it up if they want, but they clarified a few things in the Sun Star today. He does not have to be convicted of a crime, or even charged, to be deported. The BI can make the determination that he is "undesirable" and deport him on it's own. He's scheduled to leave the country tomorrow (Sunday), if he were to be charged that could prevent him from leaving. For practical reasons, best to just let him go.
jon1 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 From what I have read, the German is due to leave tomorrow anyway. I doubt that their complaint and subsequent actions will get to the Bureau of Immigrations before he departs. I am betting that they will quietly put him on the black list after he leaves, like what would happen to any of us if we even hinted at any disrespect in the immigrations line.

Some PO1s have plastic toy pistols. Purisma spent the budget.
