Americano Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The test is oral because one of the requirements for citizenship is the ability to understand and speak English. That was true in the past but just wait and you will see how many idiots in America say its not fair to require Spanish speaking people to learn English so they will not be required to learn English before becoming Citizens. Obama will change the requirement by executive order whether its legal or not.
JJReyes Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 That was true in the past but just wait and you will see how many idiots in America say its not fair to require Spanish speaking people to learn English so they will not be required to learn English before becoming Citizens. Obama will change the requirement by executive order whether its legal or not. We had something similar in Hawaii where the DMV drivers licensing division allowed non-English speaking applicants to bring an interpreter when they did the written portion of the exam. Guess who was actually taking the test? Something fishy when everyone started getting 95% to 100% scores. Those taking the test in English had lower scores. Some interpreters were helping an average of 15 clients a week. Next they permitted test taking in your native language. If you were from the Philippines, you could choose Ilocano, but not Tagalog. Ilocano is the official language. Even bus signs are in Ilocano. With a Republican governor after 40 years of Democrats, the nonsense stop.
