Call me bubba Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 seems that some MEN will never learn that being DRUNK will not be productive to their safety, as this Australian expat found out at 2am in a cebu 7/11 near mango square. Fuente policemen arrested yesterday dawn an allegedly drunk Australian who caused a commotion and hurt a security guard at the Mango Square, Barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City. Roberto Purcaro, who is currently residing in Barangay Basak, LapuLapu City, allegedly created a scene at a convenience store and twisted the hand and choked a security guard who tried to stop him from hurting customers. Security guard Edwardo Sala, 26, of Barangay Cabangcalan, Mandaue City, was rescued by customers from being beaten more by the suspect. Initial investigation showed that Purcaro, who was believed to be drunk, went inside the store to buy some items past 2 a.m. yesterday. Police Officer 2 Philip Plasus said that the suspect had an argument with another customer inside the store and it resulted to a fistfight. When Sala noticed the brawl he tried to intervene and pacify the two men; but Purcaro allegedly punched him, twisted his arms and then started choking him. Brave customers in the store rescued Sala and restrained Purcaro until the police from a nearby outpost arrived. Purcaro was brought to Cebu City Medical Center after his arrest and tested positive of liquor use. Sala was also brought to the same hospital because of a contusion in his neck that he suffered for his effort. Plasus said Purcaro also failed to show them pertinent documents like his passport and an identification card and only told them his name and where he came from. The victim on the other hand is yet to submit a medical certificate to Fuente Police to vouch his claim that he was assaulted by the suspect. The Australian would be charged today for physical injury and for violating City Ordinance 1929 or (Drunkenness). — Bryner L. Forum Support scott h Posted December 22, 2014 Forum Support Posted December 22, 2014 What is it about you guys from down under. Now us US service guys are not know as shrinking violets when it comes to brawls and such. But when we trained with the Australian's (great bunch of guys, outstanding soldiers, consider them my brothers for ever, and the best looking nurses in the world). When we would go out on the town at night, we would make sure we had an extra sock with a bar of soap, because we just KNEW there would be a fight. lolol :hystery: Damn, I miss those days
Dave Hounddriver Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 seems that some MEN will never learn that being DRUNK will not be productive to their safety There are many different kinds of drunks. Some of the guys I call good friends are total jerks once they get past a certain point in their alcohol intake. This does not mean that all people who get drunk are going do do such things. I suspect the Australian fist fighter is about to find out there is indeed an A.A program in the Cebu jails.
Hey Steve Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 See what getting drunk in public and causing a ruckus in public in the Philippines will get him? They should blast that song in his jail cell-"When I drink alone I prefer to be by myself" so he gets the hint for next time. He's lucky he didn't get stabbed.

Forum Support Mike J Posted December 23, 2014 Forum Support Posted December 23, 2014 He is fortunate to be alive after attacking a security guard. I expect he will be blacklisted, and deported, once sentence is served.
usa32 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Hmm. Seems like the phillipines police, can do a great investigation, when the offender is a foreigner. Of course not a great investigation, when the victim is a foreigner. hmmmm
