Sorry for a false alarm; it turned out to be a severe UTI and dehydration.

 

Will see what I get charged tomorrow morning.

Why sorry?  That is "good" news!  No surgery!  Some good antibiotics and she will be good as new in a few days!

That's a relief - especially knowing she's at least 3-4 hours away from a decent hospital with capable care (Bacolod or Dumaguete). I had a friend's nephew (23 yr old) that had to travel from San Carlos to Dumaguete to get a CT scan because the doctor in San Carlos said his symptoms showed he had an enlarged heart (at 23!?)-when in fact it turned out to be pneumonia (go figure)

I would like to record my thanks to Dra Norma C Nemenzo of Canlaon District Hospital, she was the only doctor on duty for four days and coped admirably with K's little problem - correct diagnosis, sound conservative treatment and some good advice ("change your diet") into the bargain.

 

No alcohol for K for the next week but she can attempt the mountain. If we can get the passes done.

 do you think she can CHANGE her habits and DIET?

as some people are hard headed and think ..if  i am ill i just take a pill to get well. than being PREVENTIVE

Can you tell us more about this advice, please? UTIs are common here among both men and woman . I thought it was maybe because they don't drink much water.
