Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted January 6, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2015 Had to laugh: Told gf I would try to find her a dual sim Iphone. She said "There is no such thing". I searched and it seems she is right and I told her so and then mused: "I wonder why that is" and she says: "You know, those Iphone are mainly for people in US and they don't want dual sim as, you know, those people are easily confused". I laughed and said: "What makes you say that?" She said: "Well, you know, you are a good example. You ask so many questions and you think that makes you smarter to ask all those questions but it proves to me that you are just confused. Filipinos don't ask questions because we are not confused." The logic of it all. :tiphat:
Jollygoodfellow Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Why do you agree there are no dual sim phones?
Dave Hounddriver Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Why do you agree there are no dual sim phones? Dual sim 'IPhones' because I searched and could not find any at a quick look. I did find dual sim adapters for an IPhone but not a factory made dual sim IPhone. Since you enquired, I searched "why are there no dual sim IPhones" and got this result I guess it's not a worthy business model for them. And dual sim phones have network issues, battery problems etc.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a Filipino ask me some obscure riddle that I can barely understand, and when I respond with "I don't know", they proclaim I am dumb and they are a genius. Very immature culture, and one that is extremely hard for me to take seriously. :1 (60):
Popular Post Kuya John Posted January 6, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2015 My experience tells me, that many Filipino have a problem expressing themselves in English. That does not imply they are not intelligent. Many like my young niece can read from a article in English perfectly, but is shy to have a conversation. I have never had a Filipino actually tell me I am less educated, although they may be right in thinking it. There will always be those that are more intelligent or less intelligent than one's self, whatever society or circles one mixes in. To consider yourself to be superior to another human being, especially if you have had a more privileged life, only shows ignorance. JB
lonewolf Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 one thing I have learned in 60+ years is how ignorant I am years ago I realized I could go to school the rest of my life, and I was in my 20 s then and , and I wouldn t really make much of a dent in the world of knowledge. my son in laws college graduation speaker said then that mans knowledge was increasing every doubling every 8 yrs. the most we can hope to do is to learn how to find, and that is not easy, to find those answers to what we need and are interested in to live and survive, so in that respect filippino people are experts,
Dave Hounddriver Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Sometimes I get very confused, I admit, and then I ask questions. People everywhere can sometimes answer those questions in a way that is designed to make themselves feel smug that they are so smart while I am so dumb. Today I was looking at a new spout for the kitchen sink. I said the the salesclerk: "It is so big, how will I turn it to tighten the threads?" He showed me how the 'neck' comes apart so I can fasten it. I am now just a little bit less confused.

However these day's, when I go to the toilet I have more of a problem having a leak, then finding one.
