Dave Hounddriver Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Is this a pervasive problem? In short, I would say yes. I would also say it ain't gonna be fixed in our lifetimes because it is too deeply entrenched in the system so I am not gonna worry about it. Just MHO. JonPalawan Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Where is your posting? I'd like to read it, but a search here came up with nothing. Use google site in the search. Here it is: http://www.philippines-expats.com/topic/17194-the-crime-in-criminology/ I have friend who is PhD (piled higher and deeper) in elementary education who couldn't even figure out the monthly interest for a 5-6 loan, much less the APR. He guessed 1% as the monthly rate. The attitude here seems to be that math is too hard, so leave issues of mathematics up to the math priests, and don't be bothered by such things yourself.
