But the stories you quote still leave me puzzled as to who the dead white guy is in the video.  Of course videos can be doctored and US military officials never lie but it sure leaves me wondering.

Dave I think you were being a bit tongue in cheek on this, but in todays environment the US military rarely does black ops. If there was a white guy it might have been one of the intelligence agencies but I seriously doubt it was US special forces.

 

About the video, how many times have you walked down the street or in the mall and have had to do a double take because a Filipino looks so much like a Caucasian?

I thought the guy they were after was on the same list as Osama Bin Laden so it seemed logical that the modus operandi would be from the same playbook.  But I ain't no expert, I'm just looking at it as a jaded reader of the news who has been lied to in print before.

I hear ya Dave, and believe me I am just as jaded as you :cheersty: .  I am just postulating here, that if there were US forces actually involved as in the scale of the Bin Laden raid, it would not have ended in such a balls up as it did. That's why I am leaning more towards an intelligence op or even a "private" contractor, if in fact there was a Caucasian left behind.
