Call me bubba Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 for those who travel it now appears that they will include the terminal fee in the tickets contrary to whats been said recently,,, yet better be safe . keep some change IN CASE Philippine Airlines (PAL) will integrate the International Passengers terminal fee of P550.00 effective February 1, 2015 as part of the ticket cost.Cielo Villaluna, PAL spokesperson, said that terminal fees for international flights will be integrated as a component of ticket cost in compliance with the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and the airline companies operating in the country. The integration of the terminal fees will streamline pre-flight procedures for the convenience of departing passengers, Villaluna added. For domestic flights, the integration of terminal fees began in 2013."We will implement the integration on February 1, 2015 despite an appeal from OFWs sector and impending motions which has yet to be resolved by the court." Villaluna added.OFW Family Club party-list Rep. Roy Seneres said in a previous statement that contempt charges would be filed at the Pasay Regional Trial Court against MIAA Gen. Manager Angel Honrado because the integration of terminal fees goes against prevailing regulation that exempts overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from having to pay the fee.Seneres called on President Benigno Aquino to abrogate the controversial MIAA Memorandum, which, he pointed out, runs against Sec. 35 of the Migrant Workers Act (R.A. 8042 as amended by R.A. 10022) that excludes OFWs from paying the travel tax and the airport terminal fee.It is for this and other reasons that Seneres said he will proceed with the filing of charges of contempt with the Pasay RTC and, eventually, with the Office of the Ombudsman. http://www.interaksyon.com/article/104139/pal-to-integrate-international-terminal-fee-effective-february-
Forum Support scott h Posted February 1, 2015 Forum Support Posted February 1, 2015 Even odds, a court somewhere will issue a temporary restraining order. Personally I think its a great idea, to follow the letter of the law that OFW's don't have to pay terminal fee, keep the same booth but just for OFW's to get a refund of the terminal fee. But one thing I have noticed about the Philippines, rarely is anything about the common good, but always about how something affects "ME".
jon1 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 When we flew PAL to the US (via Terminal 2) last September the terminal fee was included in our ticket. We were never asked to pay anything, just went thru immigration and to the gate...
jpbago Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 PAL also allows the Filipino departure tax of 1620p to be included in your ticket but only if both tickets are for Filipinos. We or she still has to line up at 2 counters, one to pay and one to apply.

Not sure how we were able to bypass this requirement but somehow did.
