ironmaiden Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 nobody keeps the concrete wet, they just let it dry in the sun...I don't know, but perhaps/it's not needed in rain forest moist climate? /or because many Filipinos put much more water in the concrete when they mix it? Definately not. Concrete is weird, if you add too much water while mixing, you will make the concrete considerably weaker. But after you have poored it, it will get double as strong if you keep it wet for a few weeks. If you just let it dry in the sun, you loose a lot of potential strength, and all for free cause you don't need to buy any cement or anything, just keep it wet. The reason nobody does it here because it is not required by the building code. A serious eartquake will change all that, but unfortunately enough people will have to die first...

intrepid Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 It's looking good. I had those style aluminum slider windows installed in my wife's house about 8-10 years ago and still look good. I had them use tented glass and also install screens. The only thing I miss about the old ones was when they were opened the whole area let air through as opposed to only half with the new sliders. What did you install for the ceiling? Keep the pictures coming until it's complete.
