hocoa Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Tailor for made-to-order Barong Tagalog in Makati, any recommendations?
Forum Support scott h Posted April 3, 2015 Forum Support Posted April 3, 2015 Brother, there are tailors all over, I am sure an acquaintance can recommend one when you get on the ground. Just last week I had a white polyester barong (pina material costs more) tailor made (short sleeve) for 1000 pesos. Turns out the wife liked one she bought off the rack in Baclaran (Manila shopping district) that cost 350 Pesos. Go Figure :1 (103): (oh I am 6 foot 1 inch 210 pounds so you can see they have all sizes) I have just been informed by the boss that the Barong Tagalog she bought for me in Baclaran was 2000 pesos.

hocoa Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 Thanks Scott & BigMook. Last time I was in the Philippines, I went to SM Makati and I didn't find the model or the cloth material I wanted. So I'm looking for a tailor who can make it as per the model & cloth material I want. As to the cloth material, I want something that I will not feel itchy so I can wear it all day. The model is something like I used to see when I was young in the mid 1980's (before I left the Philippines).
