TedDBayer Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I'm planning on moving to Philippines soon, San Jose/Bulacan, I have just been diagnosed with Glaucoma. I have sent emails to the Ophthalmology departments that I could find around Manila, but after 2 weeks i have not had a reply. Which are the better hospitals? If they have an Ophthalmology Dept, I'll try phoning them. Anyone have an Ophthalmologist they can refer me to?

You are talking about San Jose del monte, 14 km from SM Fairview. SM Fairview has a satellite clinic of Medical Doctor's Hospital, avoid that, it's a money trap. Go to FEU Hospital 5km south of there, they have a big clinic, all spcialties. That's FEU Medical Center, Regalado Ave West Fairview. I can assure you to get first class care that at non inflated price. NB.....not at FEU Campus, Recto, that's a different place. NB.....not Regalado Highway which is in the same area but different street. Ask your friends in San Jose, this place is well known.
chris49 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) I believe the best hospital in the Southern Manila area is Asian Hospital http://www.asianhospital.com/ I would say it's "one of the best", but the poster will be north of Manila, so I think it's out. Capital Med on Quezon Ave is closer. But I think a universiity based hospital eg the one I recommended above would be better. UST, and MCU would be next in line. But FEU is closer to where he lives. Manila Central University, MCU would be the cheapest. Edited April 20, 2015 by chris49

WordsandMusic Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Bring plenty of eyes drops to maintain eye pressures and start looking at Pharmacies here that might carry your prescription. Maintain the eye pressure and have it checked at the optometrist once a month, you should be in good shape. Don't miss the drops ever, you know what happens if you do.
