Jollygoodfellow Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I split the topic into your own. Yes you can stay up to 36 months. You need to extend your visa and there is plenty of info in the other visa questions in this forum as this certainly is not new. A very high percent of expats use tourist visas to live in the Philippines. You can also check the BI website. http://www.immigration.gov.ph/
Forum Support Mike J Posted April 30, 2015 Forum Support Posted April 30, 2015 That is correct, you can continue to extend your temporary visitor visa for up to three years. The stay one year, exit and return, probably refers to a balikbayan stamp in your passport. Instead of a 30 day stamp, you get one full year to stay with no reporting requirements. You can only avail of this if you are married to a Philippine citizen and you must be accompanied by the spouse on arrival in the country.
Tukaram (Tim) Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 They changed the tourist visa a year or so ago. (depending on your county - I am from the US). It was 2 years, now it is 3 years. You can do extensions 1 month, 2 months, or at certain offices 6 months. :tiphat:
i am bob Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 If you use the Philippine Embassy web site for your home country, it probably still shows the old info... Most of them do. Use the actual in-country Philippine BI website as shown above. It's also a good idea to add their Facebook page for updated information as it happens... Jollygoodfellow Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I have a question does anyone know about the ARP form and what it is all about ARP Alien Registration Program Basicly this will be taken care of when you apply for your extension. For 9(a) Tourist Visa holders extending their stay beyond 59 days, and Special Work Permit holders, the ARP registration will be done at the time of application for an Alien Certificate of Registration Identity card (ACR I-Card). Previously, a personal appearance was not required for an ACR I-Card application in these cases; it now is, since biometrics must be taken. http://www.peregrine.im/newsletter/RBrYY1f2144 http://www.immigration.gov.ph/images/Issuances/2014/Aug/OOSBM2014-038Revised.pdf http://www.britcham.org.ph/images/2014/09/BIFORM2014-08-019Rev0_ARPFORM.pdf
