sonjack2847 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I am trying to find seeds to grow some veg on my mother in laws farm. I am looking for, Parsnip, swede, sprouts, broad beans, turnip. Has anybody seen these products here or would I have to get them from the Uk. I would be quite willing to pay somebody to post them to me. If anybody can help it would be very appreciated. "K" we have a guy here in Dumaguete that has a seed exchange every couple of Months, the things you are looking for I will ask about but I have a strange suspicion that some if not all may not grow to well here. The Sprouts like a cold snap and this we don't get. The beans I am not too sure about and the Root crops may not like the Soil type but I will ask for you anyway. One thing for sure is Veg will need a lot of Water to flourish. I will either get back here for all to see or let you know a little later  JP :tiphat:

When I was last at the new Hyper Mart here in Mactan, in the vegetable section they had a stand with all different types of seeds, probably only the ones that you can grow in PI. I did bring lots of seeds back with me last time I was in Aus but unfortunately didn't have any success at all with any of them, seems different soils here.
sonjack2847 Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Sprouts are already being grown up near the MIL she grows carrots and peas so maybe I will be lucky. Where she lives is way up in the mountains and a lot cooler than here. Thanks for the replies. JP how is the 20th looking?
