Later today Old55, longish story, have to type it up.

I met "her" in a local bakery, cell phone repair guy pointed her out. Slim, tall, quite pretty, sexy type, very soft spoken. So I wanted  to talk to her so I told her lets go to Starbuck's in my car, about 2km down the road, Congressional Ave, Bahay Toro, Project 8, near where Iived 2006-08.

 

We got inside and had a sort of sofa seat. I placed the order and this "kid" immediately started to get close. Clutching my arm and starts telling me how she never ever met a man like me. Wow, I'm happy she likes , but now this is too much, Filipina girls even the bar girls don't show there affection so overtly. But I like it and because "she" is a shy type, I start spooning the cheesecake into her mouth and she likes it.

 

Took me a few minutes but the WARNING BELLS, THE ALARMS, all went off at the same time. In my defense I just got out of Saudi after 27 years, but  I definitely could have been more alert.

 

The great big long feet, the deep coarse voice, the Adam's Apple, how in the hell did I miss that? Never thought to check, why should I? But  got the message LOUD AND CLEAR, so now, what will I do?

 

I moved away and said "I think we have a problem here, maybe it's better if  I drop you off where we first met, or I will give you bus or jeepney fare.

 

She broke down and cried now, crying the biggest tear drops  I have ever seen. So ok. I am not moved or not much so tell her, "It's ok,lets just forget the whole thing, I am ok with it, just tell me you are a little boy, not a girl, and we can move on, no problem"

 

Sir I'm a girl, she cried now.

 

OK cut the dramatics, I'm over it now.,

 

"SIr, why don't you believe"

 

"I love you Sir"

 

And now she will not leave, so I get up to leave, she follows me out to the car.

 

Wait na lang..so I will tell a bit later how I got rid of "her"

 

But before that, I ran back into Starbucks, where the staff knows me. I wanted to collect the 2 coffees as yet not consumed, then the manager grabs me "Sir, didn't you realize?"    OH MY GOD

We do not have such "fun" here up north.

 

Interestingly however, I'm 65, a fine looking man, but a close look in the mirror does show my age. I still get occasional attention from 17-18 year olds, the kind of thing that would have you put in jail or even beaten up back home.

 

Don't know any Jakes or Jakelyn's or even Caitlin's for that matter.

 

But if my arm was twisted I might tell you what happened in Starbucks a few years ago.

I will have to hear the story Chris...I am back in Cebu again next month. This current pinay I have, I am going to have to get rid of her, she is sexy as hell, and very sweet, but oh my God, she is not the sharpest tool in the shed, and that will drive me crazy over time.

 

I think there is a lot to be said by grabbing these clever girls from the province instead.

Story is up Mike. Yes mate, how long is your patience with a slow brain. I give it 2 weeks before I start throwing my hands in the air and pounding the walls. Dumbness is hard to cover, like this one girl I sent to the market to buy shrimp or squid, whichever was available and she  came back proudly announcing, SQUIMP, is not available. Spare me please.

Ah yes, reminds me of my gf previous to this one.  3 times I tried to teach her that imported Australian beef steak is a special meal and only to be cooked a certain way and I will do it myself.  All three time it ended up in some kind of filipino spicy gumbo like they cook their own tough carabao meat.  The third time had me sending her out the door.  Food is more important to me than girls.  That gf lasted almost a month.
