RBM Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Hi Guys. Would ask anyone living in or around Bacolod know of a welding shop with experience in making above. There are some local welding shops where I am but totally unfamiliar with what I require and my patience has gone after 70% complete with our project. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jack Peterson Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I asked my Welder here in Dumaguete and he said he had only attempted it once and it was OK but had a problem obtaining the right metals. Although Space saving it seems that it could be very Costly. couple of links for you. http://home-building.wonderhowto.com/how-to/build-steel-spiral-staircase-56225/ http://www.wikihow.com/Build-Spiral-Stairs https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+make+a+metal+spiral+staircase&rlz=1C1GIWA_enPH638PH638&espv=2&biw=1360&bih=599&tbm=isch&imgil=z0uEccbbUx3f_M%253A%253BEYSzwlylrWFSgM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fsweets.construction.com%25252FManufacturer%25252FStairways--Inc-NST2754%25252Fproducts%25252FOutdoor-and-Heavy-Duty-Spiral-Stair-Kits-NST55467-P&source=iu&pf=m&fir=z0uEccbbUx3f_M%253A%252CEYSzwlylrWFSgM%252C_&dpr=1&usg=__-H87x8xUfBrKR8HEtN5h_3MliVc%3D&ved=0CFoQyjc&ei=FM2IVeqqKcSjugTzrbL4Bw#imgrc=z0uEccbbUx3f_M%253A%3BEYSzwlylrWFSgM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fsweets.construction.com%252Fswts_content_files%252F2754%252FOutdoor-and-Heavy-Duty-Spiral-Stair-Kits-Stairways-Inc-L-Sweets-565519.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fsweets.construction.com%252FManufacturer%252FStairways--Inc-NST2754%252Fproducts%252FOutdoor-and-Heavy-Duty-Spiral-Stair-Kits-NST55467-P%3B251%3B373&usg=__-H87x8xUfBrKR8HEtN5h_3MliVc%3D best of luck on this one. Forum Support Popular Post scott h Posted June 23, 2015 Forum Support Popular Post Posted June 23, 2015 Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks. RBM, we considered a spiral for awhile, very space efficient. But decided against it as we plan on staying here for a looooooong time. A spiral would be tough once the knees start going out etc. etc. So we built with "senorita" steps. Just a thought, good luck. (oh insure that if you build one that it is clockwise, that way you can hold your shield in your left hand and sword in the right and the barbarians assaulting up the staircase are at a disadvantage, lolol just a little historical tidbit  )

We had a delicious pizza today at Gerrys on the beach, speaking to Jerry he mentioned a weld shop in nearby Bacong whom make them. They make an excellent job, include transportation and installation. We were happy with price and quality. Scott surprised as it may be... my GF is considerably younger than myself....she will still enjoy the views when my old knees give up. Thanks the tip.

A left handed guy was usually the poor slob that had to dump the pot of boiling oil over the rampart, or in the attack carry the battering ram............. :th_unfair: ..BLATANT discrimination I tell you
Gerald Glatt Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 @least with the oil we're first to the fish fry. Not liking the battering ram idea unless they're cooking fish inside. :tiphat:
RBM Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Should of added here same shop makes steel fences for what I consider to be of good quality and excellent value. Normal common design, steel painted with epoxy primer, epoxy top coat is P1200 a running meter. We are going ahead as they will also deliver within a couple hundred KM. Shop as often the case looks a total mess, work is good though. Location is around 1km south of Gerrys on the beach Bacong, right side.
