A Rant.

So my PLDT DSL Internet stopped working when the rains came.  It was on sporadicly for a while and then, last Friday, nothing.

I waited until Saturday to see if they were working on something and it might come back on but no, it was done.  So Saturday I call the repair hotline.  Yeah, waste of time so Sunday I call the repair hotline again.  Oh yes, he said, the technicians work on weekends and you can expect someone soon.  Monday I email support to complain I am being ignored.  Tuesday I phone repair hotline to ask why I am being ignored.

So here it is, Wednesday morning, and Yvonne says: Hey, the Internet is working!  At that moment I get a call from the technician to tell me he is looking at my 'cabinet' now and wants to know how the Internet is.  I tell him it has been DOWN FOR 5 DAYS but it suddenly works so he must have done something.  He says OK and we thank each other.

10 minutes later:  I am back on Tattoo pocket wifi.  PLDT is down again  :1 (103):

Used to get that a lot in Spain.Cabinets just not sealed Right, In the End I used to tie a Plastic carrier Bag over it when it rained.

Probably when he opened it the Water drained out, now if it is not raining, Condensation may be the Culprit. Where water is a Good Conductor of Electricity, it don't do IT cable much Good and gives a Bad connection.

I have nothing here that looks like that.  But I do have a technician.  :cheersty:   He came back because he wanted to check if it was still working when the rain came again (pouring for the last hour) so he is upstairs looking at it now.  Fingers crossed.
