I don't think it's a question of Canada requiring her to give up her citizenship. Back when she took on Canadian citizenship, there was no dual Filipino/Canadian citizenship. Things might have changed since, and Filipinos who subsequently became Canadian might have had the option to be dual citizens without any further processing. My wife would have to re-acquire her Filipino citizenship to become dual. We looked into it 3 or so years ago and decided it was not necessary since she could still acquire land, subject to a maximum. So, no, she does not quite have full Filipino rights.
