The body of Kevin Fleischauer, 58, was retrieved by police and members of the Open Door Baptist Church inside the 20-foot-deep well about 30 meters from the house at Villa Emmanuel in Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia, past 8 p.m. on Sunday. It was already decomposing. Fleischauer’s wife, Lolly Mangilaya, 60, was retrieved from the well at 4 p.m. on Monday, said Senior Insp. Lawrence Gerald Bathan, acting head of the municipal police. A friend of the couple, who asked not to be identified, said they were into organic farming and had not been seen for about two weeks. On Sunday, friends from church went to Villa Emmanuel and found the couple’s house in disarray and their Toyota Adventure service vehicle still parked there. At 5:40 p.m. that day, police led by Bathan came to the house in response to a reported robbery there. chris49 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Yes, robbery being cited as the house was broken into and items missing. That could also be a cover up. We have forum members in Negros, so let's see if we hear more.

Steve & Myrlita Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 They are calling it Bacolod City in the headline but Murcia is 28 km from Bacolod.
Dave Hounddriver Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 They are calling it Bacolod City in the headline but Murcia is 28 km from Bacolod. That's just the 'Dateline' that says Bacolod. The location appears first, usually starting with the city in which the reporter has written or dispatched the report.

The Daily Star says both bodies were found. Typical reporting by incompetent reporters. One article makes one suspect the wife may have been part of the scheme and the murder. The other article makes one think that the couple was very generous and possiblly made it appear that they were wealthy.

Little update on this http://globalnation.inquirer.net/127465/4-workers-charged-for-killing-american-wife-in-negros-occidental#ixzz3jAX45CJ5%C2%A0 Just goes to show how things can get twisted a little, of course it may well rurn put the wife paid them and then they did away with her as well after  JP  :tiphat:

Latest update is that the police caught the ones who robbed and killed the couple. Less than 24 hours after discovery of the bodies. Turns out, it was 4 young men range in age from 17 to 25. They had worked on the couple's farm. Jewelry and money valued around $500. I kinda doubt the wife would have had her husband killed for only that amount. Great police work. They are to be commended. There goes my thoughts on inept Philippine Police.
Mike S Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 In the news the other night the boys claimed that the couple mistreated them ..... by slapping them in the back of their heads ..... yelled and cursed at them and cheated them ..... as well as calling them names ...... Sounds like a good case of abuse and Flipino pride to me and a justified case to murder those terrible foreigners ...... :mocking: :mocking: :cheersty:
