Mike S Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Has anyone out there any updates on Mike? If nothing may pop over there next week and visit him. Will be a surprise as never met him but kinda feel like he is an old mate. thank you sir for you concern and kind offer but for now i'm very limited in what i can and can't do for the next month ..... only am i allowed to go to dr.'s visits ..... so for the time being although i appreciate the offer i have to decline ..... good news is that i know you asked what the difference between adventist hospital and riverside hospital ...... when i can type better i can supply some information as i had my surgery and stay in riverside this time ..... :cheersty:
Mike S Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) went for my pacemaker check up as the tech flew in from cebu .... she said everything looked good and the right atrium was operating at 90 % on it's own .... but the right ventricle was almost entirely dependent on the pacemaker ..... i asked about the length of time the battery would last and she said at the present rate of fire her computer said 12 years .... the pacemaker only fires when my bpm drops under 60 bpm i was concerned because most reports i read on the net said 5-7 years ..... and with having to go through the surgery again of removing the transmitter and replacing it ..... the 2 leads last longer .... i'm not looking forward to that again as well as having my arm in a sling .... to keep my arm immobilized .... so i don't pull the leads out of the transmitter .... i hope this info i presented is correct as i'm no dr. but the pacemaker is to make sure my heart is in sink as far as pumping hence the dual pacemaker ..... :cheersty: Edited October 14, 2015 by Mike S
