sonjack2847 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Apparently some of the people have been suspended so maybe just maybe they are going to do something about it.
sonjack2847 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Forgot to say that this is being spread all over the world on FB and not just by foreigners.
Dave Hounddriver Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 According to the paper today, the 'fundraising' effort of these 'terrorists' (to use another member's repeated allegation) has now spread to luggage wrapping. For 160 pesos, employees at NAIA will wrap your luggage in cellophane so no one can add or take out anything without your knowledge. Now THAT's the Philippine entrepreneurial spirit we all know and love.
Forum Support scott h Posted November 3, 2015 Forum Support Posted November 3, 2015 Now THAT's the Philippine entrepreneurial spirit we all know and love. Was going to say the same thing Dave. You knew it was only a matter of time before someone would turn this misfortune into a profitable enterprise.
Tukaram (Tim) Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 No need to worry now guys. It has officially been declared impossible for a bullet scam to be happening. So it really is just a bunch of stupid tourists... a lot... all at the same time... Don't we all feel better now ha ha :tiphat: It is basically impossible for any person to plant bullets in the bags of the airline passengers, the Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) maintained on Monday. Supt. Jeanne Panisan, Avsegroup spokesperson, said there is “no possibility” that the “tanim-bala” scam or dropping bullets into the luggage of passengers can be done inside the airport, downplaying speculations that there was a syndicate behind the racket. You knew it was only a matter of time before someone would turn this misfortune into a profitable enterprise. In Spain, they have been doing it for years. Now by Machine and the bag is tagged and can be traced. Cost 8 Euro but Worth every cent Jack
OnMyWay Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I think all the publicity should cut this down quickly. It would take some guts or just plain old stupidity to try it now. We are going Singapore on Thursday (from Clark) and today when I picked up my 11 year old daughter from school, she told me she was worried about a bullet being put in her bag. I asked how she knew about this and she said her civics teacher told them all about it. She even knew that you should not touch a bullet (so no fingerprints) and insist that it be fingerprinted. Love it or hate it, social media does get information spread quickly!
