The last 2 years I went back to the province for Halloween... but I could not do it this year.  The nephew's "mini sound" is now taller than the house and I have no interest in going back - ever ha ha.

I went with her to the cemetery here, on the 2nd, to visit a couple grandparents.  On the 1st they had one side of the highway blocked to allow access into the cemetery.  Seemed to be popular that day.

I think the whole  kind of cool, and suppose one day I will be buried with them.  I really don't care about any of it.  Dead is dead.  If it makes them feel better to get together and party - more power to them :tiphat:

Had my first taste of All Saints Day this past Sunday. Arrived at NAIA early that morning, had bfast with the family, followed by church, then lunch, then a trip to Manila Memorial. My wife said that the crowd could have been worse. People had sine the Friday before to pay a visit.

Still, an eye openr gor me. I saw many mausoleums on a scale much grander than anything I have seen in Canada. I also saw several catered affairs, complete with banquet tables and chairs. Again, something that had been described to me, but needed to be experienced to be believed!

And, no relative had to be saddled with the cleaning.
