Dave Hounddriver Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 I have boughten a few batteries from Aliexpress and all worked great Have you bought other things from them? I ask because the price on this Samsung S6 looks incredibly good (under 17K pesos): http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Unlocked-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-G920P-G920V-Octa-Core-3GB-RAM-32GB-ROM-LTE-16MP-5-1/32546812497.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.1.4x8z88&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_6_79_78_77_80,searchweb201644_0,searchweb201560_1 But it sounds too good to be true so it would be nice to hear more of your experiences with AliExpress
jpbago Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Take the battery out and try running your laptop on AC only. Ensure your cords are connected solid. The problem may be with the charger. See this article or others if you google "do you need a battery for your laptop to work" Does My Laptop Need a Battery to Work?If your laptop has a dead or malfunctioning battery you may have found that a replacement battery is expensive. If you use your laptop at home and have it plugged into a wall outlet most of the time, you may have wondered whether the laptop will function without a battery, and whether or not it is safe to operate it without one. This article will address some of these questions. Most laptops are able to run without a battery. The simplest way to find out if your laptop will run without a battery is to try running it without one. Before you do, however, take a few simple precautions. First, save any open documents or files and shut down the computer completely. Second, make sure the AC adapter is connected and the laptop is receiving AC power. Windows will often show a power indicator in the taskbar in the lower right of the screen that shows the battery status and whether the AC adapter is connected. Now you can shut down the laptop completely and remove the battery. Make sure the AC adapter is firmly connected and plugged into the wall and press the power button on your laptop. If the laptop starts up and seems to run normally, it will most likely operate without a battery. There are a few concerns that you should be aware of before you operate your laptop without a battery in the long term, however. Some laptops, such as the MacBook Pro, have been shown to have degraded performance when running only on AC power without a battery. You could test this by running performance tests with and without the battery to see if your system is affected. The other concern is that AC power cables are meant to be removed from the laptop easily, and could get knocked out by accident. With no battery to keep the machine running, it will shut down suddenly, possibly losing your open documents and other important information. You are unlikely to encounter major problems running your laptop without a battery, strictly on AC power. However, consider buying a replacement battery for emergencies or for the extra peace of mind of not having to worry about a disconnected power cable. Compatible batteries are available for most laptops for a fraction of the cost of OEM batteries and still provide the same charge.

Dave Hounddriver Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 I have boughten a few batteries from Aliexpress and all worked great Can you tell me if they delivered to your door or if you had to pick them up somewhere. I have a battery coming and its not clearly stated that it will be delivered to my door, just that "the seller has shipped your order" and "tracking information will be available in 5 to 10 days" with a link to Sweden Post. I will try tracking it then. Still, your first hand knowledge is great!

I dont know what its like where you are but here in Cagayan De Oro the post office contacts you when the parcel arrives there and you go pick it up. Before the post office delivered parcels right to the door. If you are buying an expensive item tell the seller to mark parcel as a gift and low value. A lot of my items they charge me 100 pesos when I pick them up at the post office.

Steve & Myrlita Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Aliexpress mostly uses China Post and it arrives 15-20 days in Visayas. China Post however, will not deliver batteries. That's why some will use Sweden Post. They will ship a battery.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around what Sweden has to do with packages from China to Philippines and how they can ship batteries when others can't but it seems like it will be all good except: Disclaimer 1. If the parcel was delayed, destroyed or damaged because of natural disaster, political reasons, strike, nuclear explosion or war. In this situation, there will be no compensation.
