Mr Lee Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) In order to promote better health care for members, it would be nice if members could list their doctors and dentists contact information and what they specialize in. We are lucky to have a member who is a dentist in Cebu that my wife and I use, so I will start off with his contact info and I hope others will post other doctors and dentist from all over the Philippines.Ramon Sucalit a dentist in Cebu City Philippines, you can email him at mondentfil@yahoo.com His office is located at 307A Maria Cristina Bldg2 Osmena Blvd Cebu City Right above the McDonald's and right off Osmena Circle call him in Cebu at 253 2699 I have also uploaded his signature here. Unforunately, My doctor is headed to the US but can refer a specialist if needed. She knows all the best doctors and specialists in town.

JJReyes Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) The missing critical information for medical services is how much they charge. If I engage the services of a CPA, I want to know the hourly charge. If you need a gardener, plumber or electrician, you should have a cost estimate before agreeing to the service. For my assisted care project, the price is PHP 3,000 or USD 75 for a home visit by a medical doctor. Since the retirees needing care are clustered in condominium buildings and gated villages, the doctor will probably get to see 5, 10 or more patients per day. $500 to $1,000 per day is good money in the Philippines. Tukaram (Tim) Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 $500 to $1,000 or ₱500 to ₱1,000 a day? Hell I barely make $2500 a month here in the States. Granted I am not a doctor... My doctor here at the Dallas VA said I would have to go back to Dallas for my meds... but I don't believe him. I am going to check with patient services about switching to the Manila VA clinic. My disability is easy, just some simple drugs. No other treatment needed. And if I can't get them from the VA I can self medicate easily enough at a regular pharmacy. I need a good dentist though.... JJReyes Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 I need a good dentist though.... I practice dental tourism using the De Leon-Macalintal Dental Clinic, Suite 504 South Center Tower, Madrigal Business Park, Phase 3, 2206 Market St., Alabang, Muntinlupa City 1780. Telephone numbers are 850-4632 and 0917-439-5811. The clinic hours are Mon - Fri 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am to 3:00pm. It's by appointment only. Dr. Manuel Macalintal is US trained in Orthodontic. My recollection is University of California Berkeley. Dr. Bles de Leon Macalintal graduated from one of the top dental colleges in the Philippines. She is also licensed to practice dentistry in California. They are not the cheapest and Alabang is a ritzy neighborhood, but the prices are 60% to 70% lower than Hawaii dentists. My wife spent $310 for an oral evaluation (check-up), full-mouth x-rays and prophylaxis (cleaning). I paid Dr. Macalintal $118 for oral evaluation (check-up), no x-rays, prophylaxis (cleaning) and three composite fillings. The daughter of a very close friend who lives in Alabang received a price quotation for extensive dental work. At the time, she was a graduate student in Massachusetts. The parents flew her home, got to see her for three weeks during the dental work, and they spent less than 50%.
