US Army Scout beaten outside Zanzibar, Dies

It is with great sadness that I say "Farewell" to a fallen warrior brother, Phil Prins. He expired at Silliman Medical Center this morning, 29 December, 2015 on his birthday.

He was an Army Scout, gulf war veteran and photo-journalist for Foundation University. Phil was murdered by several men outside a downtown Dumaguete bar Christmas.

He was last seen leaving Zanzibar Disco. Authorities are seeking any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the murderers. Please contact the PNP with any information related to this brutal crime.

Update on Phil Prins case :

Congratulation PNP!

After the case conference by CIDG, NBI and PNP, all suspects were already identified by the police. The CCTV footage will speak for itself. Some witnesses came up for more information. rounding ups is due soonest. One witness/suspect was invited but refused to give statement (no lawyer around) to the PNP Dumaguete and the media. No photos of suspect will be released as per request until cases will be filed.

That was a sad event in the city of Dumaguete.  We can be a little bit thankful that the wheels of justice seem to be turning in this case, but it cannot bring him back,

Please Note here Guys and Girls, This death is High Profile in Dumaguete,  Phil Pins was a Uni Lecturer and an Ex US Special service Operative.

Recently leaving Service. the PNP and FBI (Who have been sent to recover stuff) have asked for a careful Media Coverage of this issue. It is not clear Cut and there is a Seemingly Seedy side to whole Affair.

Local Press have not Covered this as yet due to the Authorities request.
