robert k Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Whenever I hear a story of an expat who either: had trouble getting admitted to a hospital; had trouble getting released before the bill was paid; or just ended up with a bill he could not pay - and then said he had no insurance - I always wonder why he didn't at least get Phil health. It seems like a no brainer. Same goes for a Filipino family. You look at what they spend their money on yet they have no insurance. Now JP, that fighting cock is going to be a money maker! Just wait and see.
jpbago Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 If you pay your PhilHealth at LBC, make a copy or take a picture of the receipt as the ink from their receipt disappears shortly. You end up with a blank piece of paper. To make a claim, you have to go to a PH branch to get your data report to show the hospital.
Coppywriter Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I have Philhealth and I also have a "hospital cash plan" from Paramount Direct. The cash plan pays you cash direct and can be used alongside Philhealth. It can cover your hospital room and also a stay in ICU. It's worth looking at what they offer.
