Nephi Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Tried to access the US Embassy site in Manila this morning and was unable. Then tried the US Dept of State site as well. Same thing, both are inaccessible and had a page showing the following message. Anyone else having this issue or any idea why or what is going on? Feeling concerned. Nephi Search result: Access DeniedYou don't have permission to access "http://www.state.gov/"on this server. Nephi Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Got right in Strange! I even tried Google Chrome as well as Firefox on my PC and no luck. Yet if I look up the Dept of State in the US it goes right in. My first thought was the Chinese might be messing with it but who knows. Thanks Nephi

Nephi Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Thanks everyone for the replies and for trying the site. It's just after 11am now and tried again and it works fine. No real clue as to why the problem although I would suspect our internet provider. Makes ya wonder sometimes. Especially now with the Chinese setting up chop-stick factories in the Spratlys  .. Nephi Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Signs of Paranoia here? No not really. But given their history of hacking govt sites and the ongoing events in regards to the South China Sea, I thought it a likely reason if it was not just my ISP. Signs of the times I guess.
