Referring A Filipina To A Friend

This is one of those "You can't fix stupid" threads.

 

Just over a year ago, one of our filipina friends introduced her female cousin to her husband's work-mate in the US.  I have often thought it is better to get a personal introduction than to pick a picture on a dating site but this was one of those cases where it did not work.

 

"The girl" who we shall call Jane, did not have a lot of qualities that expats living in Dumaguete seem to be looking for.  One would think she would be thrilled to find a decent guy.  We know he is a decent guy because we know his good friend who tells us this and because he proposed to Jane and asked her to come to the US as his fiance.

 

But, as I said, Jane does not have a lot of 'good' qualities.  Thus she has been flagrantly living with a filipino guy, spending the money that the US guy sends and posting the pics of the good times on a second Facebook account that he does not know about . . . . until now.

 

Our filipina friend recently contacted this guy and said something like:  "I'm sorry I introduced you to her as she is not the lady I thought she was.  Here are the links to pics to prove she is not being faithful to you."

 

This guy replied: Thanks for the info but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt" and he still sends money.

 

As I said in the beginning, you can't fix stupid.

Because we have not seen what the other facebook page showed I am wondering if it could be that there is not incriminating evidence to the blind. I mean a few pics shown to the bf might in his mind be his girl out with her friends or something.

Now the work mate of the lady who did the introduction in the first place, does he know of all this and has he sat down with the blind man to give him a reality check?

 

This reminds me of a couple of years back, a Filipina friend of mine was dating an Aussie guy. Now I knew that she was still with her long term bf which she just announced their 13th anniversary today as a matter of fact but back to where I'm going with this. Long story short I contacted the Aussie bf daughter though Facebook to pass on the information of what I knew. The Aussies daughter replied that I have no idea and they are both very much in love then blocked me. Sometime later she is not with the Aussie guy anymore but it shows that you just cant tell some people.

It even gets worst when done in person .... in Cebu we had a neighbor with a 1yo kid and had her sister (older than her) living with them as a yaya .... her partner was from Italy and visited several times a year .... while he was away "Kuya" would come by daily and take her out as well as stay over sometimes .... and to add insult to injury when the Italian showed up "Kuya" would come over sometimes and drive him and his partner around like one big happy family ....

 

One night we were watching TV and heard one hell of a commotion with all kinds of cursing and yelling .... I opened the door and looked out and saw another male neighbor and the Italian going at it verbally in the parking lot ..... I called him the next morning and asked what had happened he said he tried to tell the guy what was going on and the guy pitched a fit at him not his partner .... I asked him did he know for sure and he said "definitely" as sometimes when the"Kuya" would bring her home they would sit in the car outside his living room window and make out .... he said that was the last time he would ever tell someone his partner was cheating on him .... good advise

 

I personally saw him twice put his hands on her butt wile with her walking toward her door ... but I thought he was just being friendly .... :rolleyes: :hystery: :hystery:

 

Many a great friendship has been broken by a dumb-ass because he postivit;y knew that his one and only would never cheat on him ... oh yea????

Yes, I forgot to mention that.  He told me on his last visit that he told his dumb ass work-mate that "something was up and he should be thinking about dumping this "Jane"  but he is one of those guys who beats around the bush when telling bad news so the reality check did not get through.  Again, ya can't fix stupid and ya can't tell a guy who thinks he's 'in love' that the object of his affection is a cheating beatch.
