Is BitCoin legal in the Philippines ?

 

What goods and services can you buy using it, both online and offline, based with the Philippines.

I am really not that familiar with Bitcoin. But my educated guess it that IF it is used it would be in the more advanced areas like Makati or Ayala Alabang.

 

Day to day life here is pretty much cash and carry, large malls and chain stores accept traditional credit cards.

 

I have NEVER seen any signage or advertisements like "Bitcoin accepted here" :cheersty:

I'm curious about the exceptions, like the odd coffee shop which accepts it or perhaps a local farmer, where I can buy produce.

 

There are farmers in Bali where you can buy roasted coffee beans via BitCoin over the internet.

As the saying goes "There is an exception to every rule"

 

All I can tell you is that in my 20+ years of visiting here, and over 3 years of living here (in metro manila, where if Bitcoin was popular that's where it would be) I have never, every seen, heard or been exposed to anything regarding Bitcoin.
