RBM Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Ever wondered how the Jeepneys pass a smoke test. Just returned from having my bike smoke tested, received a pass and the engine was never started. magic magic.
robert k Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Have you ever noticed that they look up and wave to the camera while they are doing it? That is to prevent cheating and corruption.
Mike S Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Yes .... they also get your tag and vehicle in that photo so that you can't use someone else's emission report on your car .... and I do agree I have no idea how some of those smoke belching jeepneys make the test .... while I know that diesels do smoke and are required to have a different machine to test them with (ours did anyway) and there is also a different requirement for the age of the vehicle with diesels I believe it is 1, 2, 3, and 4 .... I read that once at one of the newer stations we went to last year ....
