I would think that majority that are illegally in PI are Asian foreigners. At the same token, I think that only a small number of BI officials will be caught -- and only the small fish. Jollygoodfellow Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I wonder if they will hunt on horses using bloodhounds?
Hey Steve Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 With the amount of unsolved serious crimes, why would capturing these undesirable foreigners take priority whereas police resources are stretched so thin. Is it politically motivated to take this action-given the timing?
Forum Support scott h Posted April 20, 2016 Forum Support Posted April 20, 2016 For all intents and purposes, this is like the seat belt law in California (unless its changed) you only get cited for not wearing your seat belt if you get stopped for a different violation. My gut tells me that these violators will only get caught if a) someone turns them in, or b) if he is arrested for a different violation. I thing the chances are unlikely though. Has anyone noticed how many "No plates available" signs there are? Even when they pass through check points, they are not stopped and checked for papers. Enforcement is very "reactive" here.
