Mogo, you are partially correct.  Money does have great influence in US elections.  But celebrity status will often trump money (pun intended).  If Trump was simply a businessman, he probably wouldn't get anywhere in politics.  Having had great success in reality TV, Trump now has a cult following who have loyally appeared at the voting booths.  Other Republicans have thrown huge sums of money at Trump's Republican rivals in an effort to overwhelm Trump's campaign, but to no avail.  A very entertaining election year here in the States.  Hillary and Donald have already started the smear commercials against each other and neither is yet confirmed as their party's candidate.

Sorry about that. The subheading is Crime and the Expat, so I figured this fell under crime - although I am not sure most Filipinos consider it a crime.
