Most of the remit of the FS has been removed from him. David Davis is in charge of Brexit negotiations and Liam Fox for trade. I believe that she has given him that post to keep him away from plotting against her in the tea rooms and backbenchs. He is a "colourful character" but he has also upset a lot of people in other countries, who will see this appointment as the uk giving the V sign to the world, not a good footing for diplomacy.
