If you just want to date a girl a few times a week or so when does her relatives come after you for money? As a BF&GF is this an issue? I know as a gringo/farang this will always be an issue, but when you are brought into the family I see a problem. Now just dating where do you stand? I know marriage is a whole different thing so do not go there. That will not happen. I just would like some insight how this works? I also understand that I am a walking "Bank" in the PI per the local mind set but I am not going to retire there and support a family of 400! But would like to meet a dinner partner-travel friend and a little you know friend with benefits.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  Are we not getting near another Topic by a good member that really got Po Pooed over it.

 Foreigners using and Dumping. If their is no commitment of any sort then it would to me, be using. Friends for Dinner and light nights out, just does not work here.  For the Majority of Ladies either you are B/F, G/F or not. Contrary to popular belief around the World.

Yes there are those ladies that will escort you for the Night But (and don't you just love the But's!) you either pay for them or they will skint you.

Interesting question. This is my observation watching 4 nieces (solid middle class) grow from girls to women. They didn't really date in the "American" sense. They tend to travel in packs. Young men and young women together. A lot of house parties with the extended family around. Group outings to a local resort or dinner parties at local restaurants.

Now this is my gut feeling and my opinion only. Knowing how the jungle telegraph works around here if a guy dates a gal more than a couple of times, then moves on to another girl etc. etc. etc. His reputation will proceed him before long.

Sorry but you might as well be asking how tall she will be. The answer is, it depends. Read through many of the other threads on relationships and you will see answers to your question ranging from "they have never asked and don't need any" to "had to feed 10 cousins at the first date". Same with a question you didn't ask, "when will she be willing to spend the night?" answers will vary from "first time we met" to "she made me wait 2 months". Will you be able to find what you are looking for here? Absolutely. Are all Filipinas the same? Hahaha NO.

Boy, do I know this one...  My katabang is 18 years old and looks younger...  And someone tried to start a rumor she was my underage gf...  I found out who and started another rumor - the old hag was just jealous because I refused to have an affair with her behind her husband's back...  Come to think if it, I haven't seen her for a while...
