Popular Post Queenie O. Posted August 17, 2016 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2016 I read most if not all recent posts and responses mostly at least once a day. Some issues don't pertain to me as a woman, and some I don't respond to if I have nothing relevant to contribute. If a post doesn't relate or appeal to me, I just go on to the next. Politics is a topic I'm not so interested in discussing on the forum. I figure that we'll always find something though, that appeals, entertains and informs in many posts, and I try to "like" when often they do. I would also like to see more people post and get involved, because it really makes for variety and interesting and informative points of view.
mogo51 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I have commenced some interest in another field that takes a good deal of my time, so do not have as much time to spend on the forum. Still check it out but if there is no new topics and just re cycling, I tend to wait until there is something I have an opinion on.

Also I think the Email replies get posted to your support ticket but since no one really uses the system I have not checked out all features or know exactly myself of how it all works but I see you found your reply while I was replying to this post. Note to self, do not hijack Dave's topic
Popular Post Jake Posted August 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2016 (edited) On 8/16/2016 at 5:37 PM, Dave Hounddriver said: Good morning guys. Thanks for not leaving me hanging Hello Dave HornDog, I can see where you're coming from. I often find myself reading a backlog of new posts and then either respond or give a LIKE, sometimes a triple LIKE -- like this OP for example. An off the wall topic but it is timely and relevant. You got my juices goin' -- a thought provoking subject where patronizing (ass kissing) will be my narrative for the next several minutes. Bear with me guys -- the following is just a microscopic example of why this forum is STILL the best one in town. Let's start with: Jack P -- retired RAF pilot-navigator during the Falklands Wars and now head mofo of the Duma gang. Stevewool -- a sensible and hardworking Brit who's torn between two worlds. Queenie -- provides a unique perspective as a female expat and her wonderful photos of her tropical garden. Chris49 -- an all terrain mountain bike racer and our go to guy regarding northern Luzon. I am Bob -- a hopeless romantic with love lost but love gained (twice over) in Davao. Not so old China hand -- gave the real deal about street level China and actually lived in a Chinese junk boat. Methersgate -- a smooth talking mariner with a touch of Shakespearian intellect. King Tuk -- living in a nipa hut and howling to the moon during his afternoon delights. Miss Julia -- a young business executive who brings a pillow to her workplace. Intrepid -- survived an epic journey to his Laguna paradise, finally. Gunny James M -- doesn't mind working in the mud as a fisherman and farmer. Dave HornDog -- our infamous James Bond of the Visayan island group Tom Reid (JGF, Boss Man) -- his 5 year master plan finally coming to a happy climax of astronomical proportions. The list could go on and on with many love stories, travel adventures and cultural diversities. Yep, there is no other forum in which we can openly rant and cry over our warm San Magoo beer. To all my future drinking buddies, especially the crazy Aussies -- I may be a dag in the center of a circle jerk, so please respect me the morning after.....he, he. Popular Post Queenie O. Posted August 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2016 Granted, it takes a certain amount of confidence to post a topic or even respond to a post. There might be folks on forums or blogs that might disagree often or not always care for what you have to say for whatever reason. I've witnessed that myself and have been turned off and left other forums and blogs for that same reason. Some people might also just as a personal rule, not respond or participate in forums, even though they are interested and read many posts. For myself, I see this forum as being quite open, patient and welcoming of all reasonable points of view. I put myself out there because I'm grateful for a lot that I've learned from others on this forum, and I want to return the favor if only to let people know that we're all in the same boat basically. Every experience or opinion shared can be a learning experience for some or all. That's why I enjoy seeing the amount of content here, and when new people share what they've discovered living or spending time here. No matter how much I've experienced from the Philippines, I'm still amazed at what I can get out of so many others' insights and entertaining content on a daily basis. Anybody that has been "on the fence" about posting, commenting, or asking a question, please just do it! A lot of people will be glad that you did.
