Gratefuled Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 The only time pawn shops were in the news was when the owner was arrested for possession of stolen property. Seems like drug addicts and other thieves used the pawn shops to get rid of stolen items.

Kuya John Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) I can understand desperate needs can lead to the Pawns shop, especially in PI, for such things as medicine etc. However it can't go unnoticed here in Uk the increase in Pawn Shops. What I find shocking is that the British Government allowing Companies to offer loans at over 1000% to desperate people or God forgive me for saying, ignorant people of low mentality. No Company or Pawn shop should be allowed to charge more than 25% Having typed in "Pay day loan" and here's the loan offer from a certain company...... borrow a £1000 @ 1294.1% APR Just my thoughts on how people are abused by unscrupulous money grabbers. bows00 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I've often heard of "One Week Millionaires" referred to tourist from other countries that spend anywhere between $200 to $300 per day and live it up during their vacations there.
