Queenie O. Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I love tropical fruit. I envy people living in Mindanao being that it's called the "Fruit Basket of the Philippines". People there have access to many fruits that mostly only they experience. My favorite fruit here is pomelo, Davao being the best place to get them. I love guavas and mangoes, passion fruit and papaya too. Never tried mangostines or durian yet. Fruit markets in Davao must be fantastic to experience.

I think most of the strawberries produced in Philippines get consumed in the Manila area. We had some nice, fresh ones that we bought at a supermarket in Alabang but I think I did not wash them well enough, (or I gorged on them too much), because I could not stray far from the CR for the remainder of the day.
