I'm blown away by the size of this operation!  Even in a remote location, there is no way that this was built without people knowing what was going on and huge corruption.

I have lived here almost 4 years now and I have never directly witnessed the shabu problem, but this makes me realize how huge the problem must be.  I don't interact with the poorest Filipinos and they are the ones most impacted.  The problem contributes to corruption and crimes at all levels as poor addicts will do anything to get some pesos for a fix.

I think Duterte is probably correct in recognizing that this is the #1 problem in the country.  Solving or reducing the problem will reduce overall crime and help the country move forward.

Yes his manner might be a bit rough around the edges, but serious problems need serious solutions.  It won't go away unless forceful action is taken.  Softly, softly does not work.
