PaulB Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) Fellow Members I am sorry if my post is a repeat of any earlier topic. I have done my due diligence and looked at this Topic to see if I could find the information but a lot of posts are older and I just want to ensure any information provided is accurate. Further to the above I have also checked the Bureau of Immigration website but not really full of useful information. As some of you may be aware from my previous posts I work overseas in Abu Dhabi but have a home and business, with my wife, in The Philippines and I also intend to expand on this before I retire in 3 years at the age of 55. So to get to my point I have now received my I-Card (ACR) for permanent residency in the Philippines and in my passport I have a paper 13a visa which I used to enter last time but they would not let me leave without my card or waiver. (Another Post!!) So as a foreigner with the ACR Card I believe I need to report in person annually within the first 60 days/ I also believe I need to pay a SRC fee when I leave. My questions are: Is there any way to have someone report on your behalf for the annual report if you work overseas? Or can it be done at the Philippines Embassy? How much is the SCR fee to leave the Philippines? Are there any other things I need to do to enter the Philippines next time now I have my ACR Card/ Most importantly when I come next time is there any paperwork or fees I need to pay (other than at airport) before I can exit? Is there anything else I should be aware of now I have the ACR Card? As usual thank you for any advice you can offer and Mr. Moderator sorry if this is contained in another post but could not see anything recent. I look forward you your replies. Kind regards. I think your best bet to get 100% correct answers would be to go through the consulate nearest to where you work. I have a sneaky suspicion you will get a lot of blank stares. You have kind of put the cart before the horse IMHO. The 13a is mainly for those married to a Filipina and residing here. Avoiding need for a return (throw away) airplane ticket. Using the balikbayan system, avoiding all those fees. As for having someone report for you annual, my best guess is no, they are moving towards biometrics etc. so I am doubting it. We will see what others have to say.
chris49 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Is there any way to have someone report on your behalf for the annual report if you work overseas? Or can it be done at the Philippines Embassy? It could be done. Someone with a photocopy of your passport and ACR Card can do your Annual Report. However if it's missed there's a simple fine of 200 pesos a month...which is waived as on as you report within 30 days of re-entering the Philippines. How much is the SCR fee to leave the Philippines? The fee is different for the first exit in a calendar year. From memory it's 2800 but there was some other fee on top. Which they explained. On the second exit within a year it's 2800. Are there any other things I need to do to enter the Philippines next time now I have my ACR Card/ No that set's you up. Nothing more to do. Most importantly when I come next time is there any paperwork or fees I need to pay (other than at airport) before I can exit? No sort of. EEC clearance is obtained at the airport. You should be paid up on your annual fees that's all. Is there anything else I should be aware of now I have the ACR Card? Probably yes. As you know this is the Philippines. It does not hurt to meet the people in your nearest DOI Satellite office and ask them that.
chris49 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 I was told that you should not be out of the Philippines more than 12 months. But that is not verified, it's just a rumor at this time. I am planning to ask them next visit.

We will see what others have to say. When we had the Horrendous Reporting time a couple of Years ago many things changed, one was that any infirm/ill person over 65 could have it done by a nominated person When our Friend Norbert was so very Ill They would only accept his wife to do the Extension and I believe now that this will be the case with reporting, It has to be the Actual Passport and ACR card as Scott is saying all your details are in the Chip We are Reporting that we are in the Philippines at this time and If your are not well pointless exercise really to my mind Now if this is your First time ( However it is Done) you need to log on to the Reporting Website and Register, they need the Confirmation number; https://vua.immigration.gov.ph/ print out the Confirmation number and present that with your Pass Port & ACR card if it is your second/Subsequent reporting you need the last years OR good Luck my Friend because it can be another BI battle for you.
