jpbago Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 In the last month, there has been a few restos opened up at Bantayan Park on Rizal St at the river in Bago. We have been to the two at the north end nearest the DENR towards the ocean and they have been very good (Tublaran and T something next door). They used to be Barangay bamboo huts only open in February during the festival to sell goods from each brgy but now, in front of each, they have open air restos. Maybe 4 or 5. The breeze from the ocean is quite nice. Our dog loves the river at high tide ( the rest of the time, it is mud flats). So far, it is all seafood, no chicken, beef, or pork. At Tublaran, we had sizzling blue marlin steak, 2 crab, blue marlin tinola, 3 rice, and 2 beer for p360. At the closer T something resto, 6 of us ate 2 large bangus, 2 chop sueys, 2 tinigue tinolas, lots of rice, 5 sprite, and 2 beer for p785. No leftovers as it was all good stuff. On Mabini St, the one at the north end closest to the ocean, up 1/2 block, there is a Nena's Chicken which is very good but only chicken and rice. Next to the green DENR, there is a small zoo (small as in small). There are 3 other restos on Rizal along the river before Mabini that have been there since Magellan was here that have other stuff to eat. Speaking of blue marlin,at SM Bacolod, there is a Rib Shack that has it. Go figure, blue marlin at a rib shack.
