sonjack2847 Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Jack and I went to the BI on Thursday and on the message board it stated that even people on a tourist visa have to report annually. So I would go and check at the BI to be sure if you have to do it or not.

I addition to this 13a Holders now have to provide Photo copies of ACR both sides, Bio Page, date of First entry and Current visa Stamp (The actual 13a) of your Passport. This is Dumaguete so YMMV
Tukaram (Tim) Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I love how different the offices are. Here, in Iloilo, all I needed was the online authorization number. They looked at my ACR but made no copies. They never even asked to see my passport. Welcome to the Philippines - your mileage may vary.

sonjack2847 Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 Seems to me that here in Dumaguete they do it by the book and will not deviate from it.I went to get an ECC from Cebu and had the paperwork what they told me I needed in Dumaguete, when I got to Cebu they did not want any of the paperwork. That seems odd as I, being on said tourist visa, have to report every two months anyway! There is no message for this, that I am aware of, or has it been mentioned by the two helpful ladies at Gensan office. Mileage certainly does vary.

I agree with you but as the Local ACO told me last year, it is like a census for the Year to show Who is in the Country at a given time and that is the reporting period. Many are in and Out a year so they look on this Time as a Reporting time for Administration who may ask the BI Oy You! how many Foreigners we got now and the reported Figure really is the only one they got, we used to just pay the 310p in your extensions during the reporting Time (Check your OR's for that period last year) Now manila wants Documentation of all reports. Also since the introduction of the 6 month Visa it may not get anyone with one anywhere near an Office so they can get all this way. That's the Way I read it anyway but as always, YMMV Jack Morning All
sonjack2847 Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 The stupid thing is that an Aussie I met the other day who went to the same BI office as me did not have to give any photocopies at all. They also told him that from now on he does not have to appear as his wife could do it.It seems to me that people here cannot or will not look outside the box.

True. I got my 3rd extension tourist visa today in Bacolod for months 5 and 6. I paid 3240p included was 300p for annual report. An American came in to do his annual report. He is on a 13a and came in with nothing, no online number, not even his passport. His 5 year ACR card was in the BI office and he paid 310p for his annual report. In and out in 5 minutes.
