Jollygoodfellow Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 What was he thinking The police arrested a British national recently for shoplifting in a local boutique along Mariano Perdices Street in downtown Dumaguete City. In a police blotter, suspect Jamshaed Sharif, 57, a British national, and temporary staying in Dumaguete City was arrested for shoplifting at Penshoppe Boutique along Perdices Street. Branch manager Michelle Nocete of Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, and presently staying in Barangay Piapi, Dumaguete City, called the police to help arrest the suspect. Initial investigation disclosed that the complainant stated the suspect intentionally removed the security tag inside the fitting room and immediately left but was stopped by the duty security guard of the store and recovered the stolen item inside the suspect's bag. The police informed the suspect of the nature and cause of his arrest as well as his constitutional rights in the language known to him and affirmed the same and was brought to the police station.
