The duet from Gigi sung by Maurice Chevalier and Hermione Gingold in the 1958 film. I remember that from when it made it to the Midnight Movie on TV. Popular Post mogo51 Posted January 26, 2017 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2017 As I said previously, it is a great website that Jack brought to our attention. It opened some good discussion and input from members, that is what this forum is about. But also respect to fellow members.

Graduated high school, entered college, meaning it was the first time I lived away from home, protested the war, celebrated the 1st Earth Day, smoked my 1st pot (I was in college after all), struck out with a few girls (that continued for awhile), had an a-hole roommate. There are times it seems a lifetime away and other times it seems like yesterday. It was both a good year and a confusing one, as well.
Reboot Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 I wasn't even an itch in my father's pants in 1970. 1970...by then the Boomer generation were well on their way to wrecking and squandering everything. Ah well, Western Civ had a good run.

Ah well, Western Civ had a good run. I am always amused by these observations and have had a few discussions with younger people (like yourself). They could not provide anything to support their observations, other than they feeling of being 'ripped off'. What evidence do you base your comments of 'wrecking and squandering everything' upon? I was born in 1951, makes me a baby-boomer, a tag I had nothing to do with when it was applied. I went to work for $7Au a week, had to catch a train for an hour each way. I suffered very low wages for many years, in firstly private enterprise, then government employment. High wages and'bullshit' empire building by those much higher in the chain than me, then caused massive costs blowouts in living costs. Rather than generalising as you have here, perhaps you might like to do some research and you will see it is the multi nationals, Governments all around the world and the appalling imbalance between the rich and the middle/poor class throughout the world, that is the enemy. Not poor ba....ds like me and many other members of this forum, who are responsible for the current state of the world.
