Popular Post OnMyWay Posted March 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2017 We have driven by All Hands Beach dozens of times since we lived here, but never visited until this past Thursday. There are 3 beaches in the area of the bay that I consider cleaner and swim-able: Camayan farther out, then All Hands and Dungaree right at the airport. (There currently is almost no air traffic at the airport so noise is not an issue.) We visited Dungaree and it was the cheapest at the time, and fairly nice, but not fancy at all. Since then, it was sold / leased and a large hotel was built in that cove. It looks nice and should open soon. They had the swim part of a triathlon there last weekend. We checked pricing at All Hands a few years ago and thought it was too expensive compared to Camayan, for day use. P500 vs. p300 at the time. I ended up buying an annual membership at Camayan for 2 years and we never considered All Hands again until now. Camayan has raised their rate to p500 and they recently are embroiled in a corporate takeover, so we decided to pass, and try All Hands. All Hands is now p550, but that includes a nipa hut type thing. At Camayan, you have to pay an extra p1200 or more for a nipa hut. The brochure says that the price is p400 and p150 per head is collected by SBMA. P550 is a lot, but after we entered, I had no regrets. The place is spotless! Well organized, well engineered, and super clean! Actually, the cleanest place I have been in the Philippines. Clean beach, clean water, clean nipa huts (well engineered with storage, lights and ceiling fan), clean restrooms and showers, clean walkways. There was even a guy in kayak cleaning all the ropes and buoys in the swimming area. The water was very nice too and the beach is perfect for kids. Being a Thursday, there were not many people. They also have Dayrits Kitchen resto which we did not try. You can go to the resto without paying the entrance. They have a Sari Sari for misc. snacks and drinks. They also have overnight rooms that are simple and clean. The room checkin is 4 pm and checkout is 2 pm. We might try that sometime as it is perfect for the kids to swim in the cooler evening and morning hours. It was Katy's 3rd birthday so most of these pics feature her! There are a few large schools of fish around in shallow water and I was able to get some decent UW shots, even though the vis was not that good. Jake Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 (edited) Dang it Don, you're making me homesick! Both as a HS student and USN sailor, I really miss that place. Thanks for the memories! PS -- what is the annual pass for All Hands? Edited March 19, 2017 by Jake

It was/is green with algae both in the water and on the beach.

earthdome Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Thanks for the report. Sounds very nice. Great pics of the girls. Katy is growing fast. Next thing you know she will want to borrow the power washer.
