Popular Post PaulB Posted June 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) Dear Fonts of all Knowledge. I used to drink rather a lot of San Mig Light whilst visiting my home in the Philippines. I have decided to train myself on Emperador Light so I could fit in with the "Pass the Glass" social drinking the rest of the family follows. All was going well until Thursday night here in the UAE when the long Eid holiday started. Seems when I drink San Mig light sometimes my brain wouldn't keep up with my legs but with Emperador Light my legs can't keep up with my brain. Stood up to say goodbye to some friends in our house and fell Ass over tit. Luckily my face took the brunt of the fall. I have since taken precautions as I set about my second bottle tonight! What is your tipple and have you faced any associated dangers with it??? Edited June 28, 2017 by Dave Hounddriver spelling
Popular Post Kuya John Posted June 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 24, 2017 I have heard of the expression wrapping yourself in cotton wool but never bubble wrap! Learnt my lessen years ago in fact in my 20's, Rum and Black never touched the stuff since. A couple of beers and that's it for me or wine with a meal.
Popular Post virginprune Posted June 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 24, 2017 For the past few months I've had a bit of a love affair with Emperador Light. Started as a few slugs but soon progressed to a whole litre at a sitting. I drink it neat with a glass of water on the side for the odd sip, sometimes have a pot of coffee with it as well. I have now cut it out as I was not getting drunk and certainly no hangover which set alarm bells regarding alcoholism and possible liver disease. I have now changed back to a couple of Pilsen Grande once or twice a week. Funnily enough I feel a bit more tipsy on my new regime.

I too drink it straight with a glass of water and you are right no hangover. Cut lip and fractured nose but no hangover!
Jake Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 You English gents got me googling again -- had to look up "tipple", thinking that Paul misspelled it and wanted the letter "n" instead. Especially when his photo of his lips was injured due to tipple and NOT nipple. Ah yes, Emperador is a local brandy that's gaining popularity throughout Asia. Normally consumed among young successful Filipinos who like to bring out the "good stuff". Yeah, it definitely kicked my ass on more than one occasion. By the way Paul, I would love to see your next video of your fighter piloting skills flying your drone while under the influence of your favorite brandy. That would be a Kodak moment......he, he.

I like rum and coke but it does not like me.I used to keep a bottle here and finish off the evening with it when I came back from the bar.I have stopped doing it now as I could never get the correct measure in the glass and ended up ratfaced (google it Jake).I now stick to SMB it fills me up before I lose my faculties and after all it is only 23 peso a bottle if I buy a case,or 30 if I get it from the sari store.I like a beer but I see many people here who are bored and drink themselves into an early grave.
Popular Post mogo51 Posted June 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 24, 2017 I was a beer drinker (being Aussie it is almost mandatory) but stopped a few years ago as I was getting too big in the belly region. I now drink Scotch here but on my earlier trips to Philippines, I found Emperador brandy and love it - so I will buy a football helmet to guard against such indiscretions! But I do like the bubble wrap feature.
Popular Post Snowy79 Posted June 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 25, 2017 My tipple is Mango shake as I'm not much of an alcohol drinker. I think my biggest risk is diabetes from the sugar they put in it.
