Are there any films about the WW2 battle for New Guinea

I recently read about the Aussies and Yanks holding the line against the Japanese in New Guinea and its what kept them out of Australia.  "According to John Laffin, the campaign in New Guinea "...was arguably the most arduous fought by any Allied troops during World War II"

Sounds like the makings of a great war movie.  Anyone know of a movie about that fight?

It's about a bunch of reservists who held the line until the AIF could arrive.  Based on a true story so a bit of a microcosm and not an overall picture of that theatre.

Train up and get faster Scott.  I seem to remember a movie 'Kokoda'' but not 100% on that.

Thanks and its looking like a good torrent.  Anyone else interested just send a pm.  I think its best we don't post links to torrent sites openly these days.  It is not illegal in Philippines (Or if it is no one cares) but the problem is too many of these great sites get shut down by Hollywood's legal beagles so lets not make it easy for them to find the good ones.

Not sure if they ever made a full movie but here is some actual footage taken during the operation. Interesting fact is most of the rescue teem were all filipino.     

So it looks like there was a movie made a while back.
