mrketmonkey Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Hello, new to site but 5 plus years here in the Philippines. Are there any Traders out there? Stocks, Options, Futures, Forex? I was wondering if anyone would like to discuss trading, compare notes, help new traders or anything else on topic. I have experience both professional and trading my own account and would like to share, help, teach and learn with others. We could discuss trading, platforms, brokers, websites, books whatever. Let me know if this interests anyone.

I do just stocks and options. My other gambling is poker, horse races, casinos, and lotteries. My highest risk taking is going on the highway in Philippines. I see that you have been in Bacolod for the past 5 years. I have been 23 km south of you for the past 6 years.
mrketmonkey Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 Well perhaps I know you, I know a few Canadians who live about that distance south. I would not consider it gambling but we all have an opinion. I have been on the other side of retail so am able to use that experience to my advantage. There are some guys in Bacolod interested in learning more and I have been putting a class of some sorts together to help teach the basics and hopefully give some insight that can give people a chance to supplement their income. I like your risk on the highways, I must say that is my highest risk also.
mrketmonkey Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) I am new here and am trying to figure out how to post trading charts. I did some test posts and it seems the max size for attachments is holding me back. It would be great if people became interested in this topic if we could post charts to compare notes or ask questions. Please let me know if this worked. Admin note ................................................ Added No as you are a new member and as of this moment we are not sure of your agender. Links such as this put up red flags. Clermont Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 mrketmonkey, maybe your genuine, maybe not, but most people with a bit of wealth have already got financial advisers, scamming is second nature over there, good luck to you, commiseration to anyone caught. mrketmonkey Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 No fee for classes, it would just be an informal get together of people who have asked me for help. I am not charging, I am not asking for anything it is rather simple, those who are traders or want to trade can use this forum to post questions and compare notes. I am retired from the financial industry, I traded on the CME floor, had a seat, ran a prop firm, worked in syndicate mode for the big boys for years. Managed money and traded all the way until I was offered a buyout. I took it, moved here to hang out and enjoy life. Got bored, set up a trading desk here and have been trading ever since, I guess I am too young to retire. Now, my friends know this and some have watched, it sparked interest and I offered to help. Basically if you have been an investor or trader on the retail side (anyone who is not a pro) you don't understand how it works and people lose money, 90% plus of traders lose money. The rest are pros or very good home traders. Basically I have made mine, now I do it for more and fun. If I can share my insight and it helps good for you. I don't need anyone's money, will never ask for money because I have plenty. Just trying to give back a bit if anybody wants to ask questions or learn. FYI, any firm, class, internet training that charges you money to learn to trade is a scam. Don't do it ever there are plenty of free ways to gain experience. Good luck to you and your trades. mrketmonkey Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 I just learned links are bad from new posters. My bad I did not read the rules. The link was a list of charts and some opinions I though people might enjoy.
RBM Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I would be interested in hearing your general comments on trading and views on the current state of markets. I am more of an investor than trader after being badly burnt in the last crash. Now tend to try pick a sound company paying a reasonable divi, although I do sell and buy again if my feeling is the stock has peaked. So far has been OK the last couple of years.
